Premium Spa & Wellness Joinery | Cashel Street

We built high-end, moisture-tolerant cabinetry engineered to withstand the humidity of daily sauna, plunge, and recovery use. By coordinating a strict installation sequence with specialist trades, we delivered a premium wellness space that is both exceptionally tough and perfectly calm.

The Brief

O-Studio's new Cashel Street facility is a step up from the previous studio. It’s a purpose-built wellness space designed around communal saunas, hot and cold plunge spaces, private infrared sauna rooms, ice baths, couples massage, float therapy and a larger recovery lounge.

The joinery brief was specific. It had to handle humidity and water exposure around the plunge and sauna environments, feel calm and considered for clients in recovery, and stand up to commercial daily use through a six-day-a-week schedule. Reception, change rooms and recovery lounge needed to feel premium and quiet. Back-of-house had to be hard-working and out of sight.

Our Approach

Gill Joinery handled the commercial joinery scope through shop drawings, manufacture in our Bromley workshop and a sequenced install coordinated with mechanical trades, sauna, plunge and infrared installations have strict tolerances and curing windows.

What We Built

  • Reception desk and retail / display joinery
  • Change room cabinetry: lockers, bench seating, vanity and amenity storage
  • Recovery lounge joinery: seating modules, drinks station and storage
  • Back-of-house team / utility joinery and linen storage
  • Moisture-tolerant cabinetry to areas adjacent to plunge and sauna spaces
  • Timber framing for feature Himalayan pink salt tile panels (tiles by client)
  • Coordination with sauna, plunge, infrared and float-therapy installers

The Outcome

A wellness space that feels calm before clients have even sat down, built to take six days a week of sauna, plunge and recovery use.

For Gill Joinery, O-Studio is a clear example of what commercial-fit-out joinery looks like when it has to be both quiet and tough.
