We unified three functional spaces, kitchen, pantry, and laundry, with warm white high-gloss cabinetry and premium Rossini stone surfaces. By coordinating installation across all three rooms, we delivered cabinetry that feels intentional, cohesive, and built to endure.
The Brief
The 173 Major Hornbrook renovation required coordinated joinery across three key spaces: kitchen, walk-through pantry, and laundry. The specification called for consistency in finishes and materials across all three rooms, unified by warm white cabinetry and premium engineered stone.
The client brief prioritised clean, modern aesthetics with premium surfaces and practical storage. All three spaces needed to feel cohesive while supporting distinct functional demands, from daily meal prep to laundry operations.
Our Approach
Gill Joinery worked from the client's layout into shop drawings covering kitchen, pantry, and laundry cabinetry. We manufactured in our Christhchurch workshop and coordinated installation to align with other building trades, ensuring all three spaces were fully finished on schedule.

- Kitchen cabinetry: Laminex high-gloss warm white with integrated cooktop stainless steel surround
- Kitchen benchtops: Prime Rossini stone with stainless steel top in Kitchen on Cooktop side
- Pantry: Laminex high-gloss warm white cabinetry with Rossini stone benchtop
- Laundry: Laminex high-gloss warm white cabinetry with Rossini stone benchtop
- Bathroom vanities: MR board joinery with Rossini stone tops
- Bar leaner top: Rossini stone
- Wardrobes and storage: Customised built-ins across residence in warm white to match primary spaces
The Outcome
Three spaces that read as one cohesive interior. The warm white cabinetry creates visual consistency across kitchen, pantry, and laundry, while premium Rossini surfaces elevate each room. The client now has a renovation where every surface is thoughtfully finished and built to last.
